Push Pin Image As part of President Obama’s plan to stimulate the lagging economy, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act was passed in February, 2009. Recovery Act funds provided to the Mitigation Commission created the opportunity to accelerate a few LDWP aspects. These include: constructing a building for storage and maintenance and repair of supplies and equipment used for the LDWP (the building would be located on lands owned by the Ute Indian Tribe near Myton, Utah) and removal and control of noxious Russian olive within project boundaries.
